Terry founded Mother Earth Adventures in 1991 as a result of his experiential spiritual journeys, including sweat lodges, vision quests and a spiritual wilderness canoe journey. He continues his spiritual development through sweats, vision quests, reading, membership in the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation at Unity Temple, work in a men’s group and a variety of youth group activities. He also regularly participates in Buddhist 10-day silent backpacks in the "Four Corners Area" of the United States. All of these activities are helping Mother Earth Adventures evolve. He can best be described as being a "servant leader" and his leadership style is both gentle and challenging. This results in the opportunity for participants to stretch themselves spiritually while maintaining their personal integrity, well being, and safety.
